Chiseldon Football Club was formed in 2008 and has
steadily grown to become a successful and widely
acknowledged place for its members to play and learn
football. Due to the hard work of all its members and a
clear ethos of inclusiveness for all ages and abilities,
in its short time the club and its teams have achieved
several awards and trophies for activities both on and
off the pitch. Perhaps most significant of these awards being
the ‘Wiltshire Football Association Fair Play Award’ for
season 2010/2011, presented to Chiseldon U12s (out of
over 1,000 teams throughout the county) for their
impeccable attitude to the game and opposition teams.
For the 2011/2012 football season, Chiseldon Football
Club was able to enter teams at u11, u12, u13, u15 and
senior level. Each junior team is a member of the ‘North
Wilts Youth League & Minor League’ and is run by fully
qualified (Enhanced CRB, minimum FA Level 2 Certificate
in Coaching Football, Emergency Aid and Child-welfare
certification) managers.
The clubs two senior teams (Saturday and Sunday) play
within the ‘Swindon & District League’ and ‘Swindon
Sunday League’ respectively and are similarly
coached/managed to the same high standard as the junior
teams.
Off the pitch the club is run by a small but committed
Committee of volunteers,
coaches and club members. The club is fully insured,
affiliated to the Wiltshire
Football Association ,
fully supports and adheres to the FA
Respect Campaign (inclusive
of its associated policies) and has recently achieved
the coveted status of FA
Charter Standard Development Club.
Thanks to the hard work of previous and current members,
the Committee quickly achieved its primary objective of
creating a stable football club within the Chiseldon
community and is now focussed on developing the club
over the next five years.
To enable this to happen, the Committee has produced a
detailed development plan running until football season
2013/2014 and will continue to work closely with the
local community (including the ever supportive Chiseldon
Parish Council) to ensure the aims are met.
The club is committed to growing all of its existing
teams and introducing new teams in the future. If you
know of any players, male or female, with an interest in
playing football, even if just to train, the club would
be happy for them to come along.
In addition to players, the club is also looking for
anyone with an interest in joining the management
committee, coaching (for which the club would contribute
towards certification costs) or simply assisting at
training or on a match-day. If any of these areas appeal
please get
in touch with
anyone at the club who will be happy to help.
